I’m Tomi — an analog film photographer based in Vienna.

I photograph on 35mm film with a Leica MP and a Summicron 35mm or 28mm lens. Street, travel and portraits, mostly in Vienna and wherever I happen to be walking.

Film slows things down. One roll, a handful of frames, no screen to check. I wait for the light to do something, for people to settle into a gesture, for a street to go quiet. Most of what ends up here was found rather than made: Vienna on an ordinary afternoon, Paris in the rain, London in January, Prague in March, Malaga in summer, a village near Lake Neusiedl in June.

I don’t chase perfect images. I’m after moments that feel true, and the grain, the softness and the small accidents that only film gives you.
